The reaction to the Bodyguard Personal Body Armor on Social Media is interesting (and not surprising) because when it comes to dealing with real violence – most people would rather stick their head in the sand and deny it exists. They will point fingers and DEMAND that big brother STOP it rather than take the responsibility and deal with the issue themselves.

They will protest, they will post and they will comment that “it’s a shame that it’s come to this” or “I can’t afford that, I guess my kids will just have to get shot” – bad parenting aside…. the fact of the matter is…

Violence is not going away and neither is gun violence. Evil will always find a way.

From the day you are born, the world is trying to kill you.

As the great Hank Williams Jr. (and later Jim Morrison once said “No one gets out of here alive.”

People die by firearms (that’s EXACTLY what they were designed to do). The 2nd amendment people get pissed when you point this out and the gun control people go crazy demanding that all guns be confiscated.

I don’t deal in political agendas, I deal in solutions to problems that involve violence.

I don’t care if “the facts hurt your feelings”. The numbers support the need for Bodyguard Personal Armor.

Below are some quick stats to put this into perspective.

The Chances of Your Dying By…

Lightning Strike 0.0006%

Plane Crash 0.01%

Fire or Smoke Inhalation 0.066%

Drowning 0.084%

Walking (Pedestrian Accident) 0.15%

Assault by Firearm (non-suicide) 0.27%

Motor Vehicle Accident 0.87%

Some people get REALLY UPSET we sell body armor and claim we’re capitalizing on tragedy and promoting an irrational fear – but the truth is – you’re four times more likely to die in an assault by firearm than in a fire – yet I’m sure the vast majority of people complaining have homeowners or renters insurance.

They may also have auto insurance, life insurance, and a whole host of other things to keep you safe like smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, alarms, seat belts, and helmets just to name a few.

These insurance policies and equipment cost you thousands per year…and this is OK to these people – but when they see the cost of the Switchblade Backpack at $497 – they think it’s expensive…but the numbers tell a different story.

Your basic homeowners’ policy on a $200,000 home is around $1,200 with a $1000 deductible. Link HERE.

So if you have a fire..you’re out $2,200 (detectors and extinguishers not included) – plus you lose all your stuff.

Compare that to the sale price of Switchblade at $497 divided over the 5-year life of the armor – it comes out to $0.27 per day…and if you add two standard plates (front and back) and increase your protection against rifle fire…it’s still only $0.45 per day!

Do the math…

Your homeowners’ policy costs you $6 per day – 13 times MORE than the body armor and you’re 4 times more likely to die in a firearm assault than in a house fire.

You’re paying 13x for something that is 4 times less likely to happen….and we’re the “bad guys”???

So please, if you’re going to post your distain for our bulletproof products its only fair that you go holler at your insurance agent, local fire safety officer, building inspector, and the automotive industry for adding all those pesky airbags, seatbelts, and the thousands of dollars worth of safety equipment found in every vehicle.

Stay Safe,

Damian
