Phoenix Arizona – Two police officers were shot, one is in critical condition while the other is stable, thanks to his bulletproof vest. The suspect was later apprehended by police and is in custody.

We don’t know what caliber or type of weapon used and we can assume the level of protection the officer was wearing was 3A given that they were on patrol and that is the level most commonly worn. The details of the other officer’s injuries have not yet been released.

The report also reveals that so far this year there have been 12 instances of officers being fired upon. 10 of those subjects were not allowed to legally own a firearm.
