Level 3A Soft Armor
Weight: 0.75 pounds each.
This is available in all of our backpacks and jackets.

What Will Level 3A will stop?

All handguns, long and short barrel Stops .357 SIG and .44 Magnum ammunition from LONGER barrel handguns. Also stops buck and birdshot from shotguns.

NO RIFLE AMMUNITION PROTECTION.

This is the same level of protection police officers wear on patrol.

Level 3A stops 93% of firearms used in violent crimes.

Level 3+ Steel Core Amor with Spall Coated Rifle Plate
Weight: 6.3 Pounds each
This is an economical option for rifle protection. The spall coating along with the high quality of our plate carriers keep bullet fragments from shattering and going places where you don’t want them.

What Will Level 3+ Stop?

All handguns plus AK47 – 7.62, AR-15 5.56 green tip and much more.

Level 3+ Will Stop 99% of firearms violent crime.

Level 3+ Ultralight Lightweight Plates
Weight: 3.2 pounds each
This is available all of our backpacks.

What Will Level 3+ Stop?
Same as the steel core only at half the weight.

What do you really need?
First of all, if you don’t mind the weight, get the level 3+, however…the level 3A feels like a regular backpack or jacket and it will protect you against the vast majority of threats out there.

However, if your budget can swing it… get the 3+ ultralight for the best of both worlds.

Trauma pads fit all of our backpacks and armor set ups and they significantly reduce the amount of blunt force trauma of the impact of the round.

I’m sure you’ve heard “Sure it will stop a bullet, but you’ll break a rib.”

Trauma pads reduce that possibility dramatically. What you may not know is that in order to pass the ballistic certification test, the armor only has to allow for 44mm back deformation. Which means the bullet (round if you want to sound cool) can push through (but not penetrate) almost 2 inches. And depending on your body type…that could leave a mark.

We recommend trauma pads with every backpack.

Any citizen can own armor (it’s covered by the second amendment). However, if you are a convicted felon you cannot use armor and if you use body armor during the commission of a crime the penalties might be more severe.

Backpacks range from 6 pounds to 17 pounds depending on model and armor configuration.

Jackets, with 3A armor, weigh around 5 pounds.

YES! All Bodyguard products can use our 10×12 soft armor 3A ballistic panels. All backpacks use the same hard and soft armor.

Mild soap and a damp cloth will clean the armor. The backpacks can use mild soap and water (just like any other backpacks).

For the Jackets, we recommend dry clean only to avoid any distortion to the Concealed Armor and Hidden Draw Systems.

You can attach holsters, medical kits, personal defense spray…really anything that you can attach with MOLLE and will fit in the concealment chamber.

Yes, there is a 2×8 inch velcro patch for your patch on the backpack front plate carrier. This is available on all backpack models.
